I know a small amount of html mostly based on trial and error and the help of w3schools. This makes updating and tweaking my website layout very time consuming and usually frustrating. But the exciting part is I FINALLY made the images from my new series a click-thru gallery instead of a side-scroll. This gives you (the hypothetical reader/viewer) more of a chance to focus on individual images and for the images to be a little bit larger. I am continuing this series this winter quarter and will be adding and subtracting images so it is very much a work in progress based around the libraries of Monroe County in Rochester, NY. Go. Look. cheers to me on the shocking amount of time it takes me to do something so simple.

Did you know that I know a bit of HTML and CSS and some Javascript? While I am no pro, I do have some fingertip fluency. In fact, I enjoy whiling away the time with such tasks, so when I saw this post, I considered it a challenge and redid your site/gallery:

Your use of position elements is not my cup of tea, but to each their own, if you like it, take it. There are comments in the html and style files. Also, don’t hold back if you have special requests, it is good to know people with certain skill sets! I will remove the files in a week or two or at your immediate request, happy holidays!
Man, I did not see this comment until today. You are so awesome for just doing this. I knew it wasn’t that hard I just needed the right code to get started with. This will be a lot easier to update than the 30 separate html pages I set-up. I owe you some awesome dinner or something! : D
