We are bringing seven new photography professors to RIT in the fall!  Four for Fine Art (my department), two for advertising and one for photojournalism.  We are beginning campus visits by the candidates in April.  Each photographer will give a presentation to the student and faculty as well as make some classroom visits.  I am really excited that we have the chance to meet these prospective faculty and give our feedback before they are hired.  Coming up in the next couple of weeks are…

(also rumors abound that Joel Wellington Fisher is one of the candidates for a Fine Art Photo position.  He taught at RIT before I came to school here, but is notorious among good friends of mine as an awesome person/artist/professor.  Everyone is rooting for him to come back to teach here!)
